The 'Taka' is a wooden coastal trading vessel typical of the Black Sea. Seen here is a Taka alongside two smaller vessels ( 'Çektirme' ) with cargoes of timber, drawn up against the Cibali shore upstream from the Atatürk Bridge. This Taka is registered at İnebolu on the Black Sea coast, whilst the middle boat originates from Silivri, on the Maramara shore west of Istanbul.
