Sokullu Mehmet Paşa Camii
17 September 1986
Named after Grand Vizier Sokullu Mehmet Paşa, this mosque was actually built for his wife, Esmahan Sultan, daughter of Selim II. It is a work of Sinan and was constructed 1571-2.
The small dome nearest the camera is part of the Özbekler Tekkesi, a former dervish monastery of 1692.
View to the north-west towards Su Terazisi Sokağı from Üçler Hamamı Sokağı.
