The confluence of the Kâhta River ( on the right ) and its tributary the Cendere Çayı. The villages of Teğmenli and Taşlıca overlook the scene, whilst the small settlement of Kalan is set into the hillside on the far side of the Cendere. The Kâhta, formerly a tributary of the Euphrates, now feeds into the lake fromed behind the Atatürk Dam.
