The statues on the east terrace are set to face the rising sun. King Antiochus I ( on the left ) is seated next to the goddess Commagene-Tyche. At the centre is Zeus-Oromasdes, then Apollo-Mithras-Helios-Hermes and finally Herakles-Artagnes-Ares, whose head is seen here. They were flanked by statues of eagles and lions.
... The fallen heads have now been lined up in front of their respective statues.
