Sumatar - Structure 5
A number of structures resembling Roman tombs are placed about the landscape at Sumatar. The circular Structure 5 is set on a square base. Seen here is the entrance to underground chambers containing arcosolia ( arched recesses where bodies were placed ). The structure is some 4m high. Sited about 450m west-north-west of the Central Mound.
