Not a lot has changed here since Stanhope Forbes painted this scene in 1921. The harbour serves as a turning basin for access to a dry dock on the left. The Abbey Warehouse was derelict for decades until renovation in 2008 - it now offers office accommodation.
In the background the tower of St Mary's Church. The smaller bell-tower, behind the warehouse, belongs to what was a 19th century school building, now holiday accommodation.
