This aptly-named granite rock rises some 60m above the shore.
The Ancients were drawn to this place. In the lee of the rock archaeological excavation recovered evidence of Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age occupation as well as the remains of a some kind of Gallo-Roman shrine.
