Constructed in AD 262 and dedicated to the Emperor Gallienus, this is the surviving central arch of what was originally a three-arched gate built on the site of the Esquiline Gate in the Servian Wall.
The building on the left is the 15th century Church of Santi Vito e Modesto ( Vestus and Modestus ).
View from the west. On Via di San Vito, between Via Carlo Alberto and Via Merulana.
