Crag Lough
Crag Lough
Crag Lough was formed during the last ice age. Although only 2m deep it is popular with anglers fishing for trout and perch.
Highshield Crags rise above the lake, along the top of which Hadrian's Wall was built by the Romans in the 2nd century.
View from the north-east. Hotbank farm on the left.

* pronounced 'Luff' or 'Loff'
